Everybody is installing Windows 10 and I’m enjoying Mac OS 10.7.5. Or is that X.VII.V?

The Evo’s dead. It’s all about the RS now.

I don’t think I’ll ever use anything past Snow Leopard. Damn you Intel GMA X3100!

My iMac is dual boot, but it’s got an ancient version of XP on it, and when I boot to Win it doesn’t recognize my keyboard and I can’t log in. Now that I think of it, I think I deleted that partition. I do have a Win machine in the house for my kids, though, and another dual boot Mac Mini.

The last I got to was Leopard. It was pretty good, from what I remember.

I’ve been away from home (and my desktop) since Tuesday. I’m back to it today, just trying to skip the queue at the moment.

It was. I only went to 10.6 for the better solid state drive reliability (circa...2012-ish?). Snow Leopard was also a huge step in NTFS interaction.
Then the iOS copycat stuff started and literally UP WAS DOWN (the biggest thing that irked me using newer Macs was the scrolling on the touch pad was reversed). And I heard on the forums that things were slowing down and battery life decreasing with Lion, so I said “Eh, let’s try this Windows thing again now that 7 is going” and bought a Lenovo Y470, later wondering why I spent close to $1,000 in the summer of ‘08 for a Macbook when I got something so much more powerful for $800.
It was like buying a BMW 318i and then buying an SN95 Mustang GT. Yeah, one is more refined and sorted, but the other lays down the rubber and is fine to live with.

Eh, if it ain’t broke. I’m in no hurry to go to Yosemite. My Mini is running 10.8. I should at least go to that version.

Boot time with a PNY XLR8 on a two year old Lenovo laptop with 4 gigs of RAM and a 2nd gen i5: 18 seconds. The SSD is worth it.

Do your drivers come signed by Vin Diesel?

Yes this is the Vin Diesel signature edition, you can only get it through the apple store for a limited time.
